Graduations are held at NWRC in Londonderry

AROUND 500 students have recently graduated from the North West Regional College, following a prestigious Higher Education Graduation ceremony which was held in the Millennium Forum. The ceremony marked the achievements of full-time and part-time students on 39 different higher level courses offered at the College's Limavady and Londonderry campuses.

The events marked the end of another successful term at the College, and was a special occasion for both staff and students alike. The awards and diplomas conferred by the College range from Higher National Diplomas to Foundation Degrees across a variety of curriculum areas including Construction & Engineering, Art & Design, Health & Social Care, Computing, Hospitality & Tourism, Media, Music & Journalism.Graduations 2009 photographs are currently available on the Gallery section of this site.

The highlights of the day included the presentations of individual special awards to students who had excelled in their studies, making an outstanding contribution or achievement on their course.

Speaking after the ceremonies, College Director, Seamus Murphy, said that North West Regional College aims to meet the lifelong learning needs of the community, and commended the achievements of students who received awards.

“North West Regional College is committed to providing quality education and training for all, and prides itself on offering programmes that meet the needs of employers and learners alike. Those graduating today have achieved recognised vocational qualifications, boosted their confidence and are well placed to make a contribution to the local economy.
