Graffiti not worrying says Minister
The Minister at First Derry Presbyterian Church, on Upper Magazine Street in the Cityside, has dismissed the actions of graffiti artists as the actions of “tanked up youngsters”.
At the weekend Rev Dr David Latimer has to scrub graffiti off the gates of his church, which overlooks the Bogside.
“This is the first time that this has happened. I just noticed it and decided to remove it myself. It was the sort of stuff a youngster who is tanked up on a Saturday night would say, nothing other than that.

Hide Ad“It was easily taken off so I used soap and water to remove it myself. It was not part of an ongoing issue, in fact this was the first time since we opened that it has happened and I am not worried about it and not making an issue of it,” the Minister said.
