Gransha march into new season

Get ready for a night of country music when Gransha Pipe Band hold a Fundraising Country Show in Dromore High School on Friday 15th April 2016 at 7.45pm.

Appearing alongside and supporting the band at the concert will be a stellar line-up of Country Music’s biggest stars, including The Benn Sisters, Boxcar Brian, Country Harmony and comedian Leonard Shields.

Gransha Pipe Band will also be performing some set pieces from their forthcoming competition repertoire and the whole evening will be compered by local radio personality and country and gospel singer, Warren Smyth.

The band hope to take part in this year’s World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow Green from 11-14th August and various other regional competitions throughout Ireland.

Whilst in Glasgow, they will be rubbing shoulders with the world elite and plan to bring some coveted silverware in the 4B Grade Section back to their wee townland near the Dromara Hills.

Gransha Pipe Band has been steeped in pipes & drums tradition for over 60 years and has been steadily building its reputation as one of the bands to watch over the past few seasons under the tutelage of well-known drumming instructor, Sammy Smith and local pipe major, James Knox.
