“I have recently spoken with staff based in Gransha Park House who have stressed the importance of keeping the Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) jobs locally following the announcement by the Health Minister that the HSCB will cease to exist in its current form from next year,” he said.

“There are currently 90 HSCB jobs based in Gransha Park House with staff carrying out both local and regional roles from that site.

“I have both written to the Health Minister and spoken to him personally on the importance of these jobs to the local economy, in terms of financial and health care as well as the potential drain of expertise and skills from the North West.

“I fully support the staff and look forward to a favourable response from the Health Minister,” he added.
