Grant forfootball lifeline

LISBURN City Council has agreed to provide a grant of £240 from its Community Sports Development budget to cover hire costs for one seven-a-side 3G cage at Lagan Valley Leisureplex to hold ‘Football Lifeline’ for a 78 week pilot period commencing in April,

This is pending a successful funding application to a charity called UNLTD by the organisers of the initiative, the aim of which is to provide football coaching to unemployed men and women.

Councillor Thomas Beckett, Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee, welcomed the news.
