Graves desecrated in outbreak of criminal damage

Vandals have desecrated a number of graves in Banbridge’s Seapatrick Graveyard in one of a rash of criminal damage incidents in recent weeks.

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information after a number of incidents between December 19 and 26.

Sometime between Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20, vases and flowerpots on at least four graves in Seapatrick Graveyard were damaged.

Police would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to the incident and can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 768 201215.

Meanwhile, officers are also appealing for information about incidents in Lawrencetown and Gilford, where, sometime overnight between Friday, December 25 and Saturday, December 26, cars were damaged.

Two vehicles in Rose Hill, Lawrencetown were damaged along with a pane of glass in a house.

Three windows of a Kia Picanto car parked in Dunbarton Bungalows, Gilford, were broken and two windows of a black Vauxhall Insignia parked in Hillcrest Villas, Gilford, were also broken.
