By Helen Evans

THIS summer Molly's Restaurant’s number of international customers has dramatically increased - so much so that a Visitors’ Book will shortly be placed on the counter for people to register their views and provide their identities.

The Main Street establishment, that serves a wide range of food, has had many American, Australian and clientele from all over Europe.

In spite of Molly's excellent local reputation, it is promising that Ballymoney town is attractive to visitors to Northern Ireland. Most of the country's tourists go to Belfast or the North Coast, however, this reinforces that the town is a force to be reckoned

with.

Ballymoney is a beautiful part of Northern Ireland and, increasingly, a popular tourist destination because of its convenient location, 15 miles from the Causeway Coast and near the Glens of Antrim.

Owner Sam Mullan says: "When visitors stay in local accomodation and ask where they should eat, Molly's is recommended to them. In terms of finance, tourists are an excellent asset to the Ballymoney economy. They bring money to my business and the surrounding area.

“In terms of community, I am delighted that tourists come to Molly's because it enriches our local culture. Foreign visitors help us to learn about different countries and people. Therefore, I hope they enjoy visiting Ballymoney as much as my employees enjoy catering for them."
