Great support for fundraisers

MOIRA Local Committee of Cancer Research is once again delighted with the great support it has received from its local communities including Magheralin, Maghaberry and Aghalee.

The Moira Street Collection this year raised £1,024 and once again Sainsbury’s customers were very supportive with the Bag Packing, which raised £965.

A spokesperson for the group said: “We are very pleased to have ‘Emerald Connection’ with George Jones and Trevor Kelly who will entertain us with a night of Music & Craic on Wednesday, October 17, in St John’s Parish Centre, Moira. Tickets for this event are available from Bleu Hairdressing, Moira.

“The Committee looks forward as always to its Cross Community Carol Service, which this year will be held in Moira Baptist Church on Sunday, December 2, at 3pm.

“A big thank you to all who support our work on behalf of Cancer Research UK.”
