A total of 38 bands attended the event along with a multitude of Orange men, Apprentice Boys and members of the Royal Black Preceptory.

The parade was led by their village neighbours, Ahoghill Loyal Sons of William, who also have a big anniversary this year. They will celebrate 30 years on the road with a parade in the village on Saturday, August 1 at 3pm.

Spectators on the night received a real treat with a great variety of bands travelling from from as far away as Newtownstewart, Limavady and Portadown. There was even a dog on parade with a band from Coleraine!

The band had a range of old uniforms on show with past members leading the hosts around at the end in outfitds which ranged from the 60’s right up to the present day.

New shirts were unveiled on the night to celebrate the band’s 100 year achievement.

The committee and members of Glenhugh Flute Band would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the 38 bands who took part, Glenhugh LOL 344, Ahoghill Apprentice Boys of Derry Club, Ballykeel RPB 250, The Ballymena Bands Forum marshals and especially the members of the general public who came out on the night to show their support.
