Green Party work for ‘common good’

The Green Party, who are running two candidates in the Lisburn area in the upcoming local council election, have launched their election
manifesto.

Lisburn council candidate Luke Robinson said that their manifesto is centred around the concept of ‘the common good’.

“There are four key points,” explained Dr Robinson. “Clean politics, caring for communities, a sustainable economy and caring for the environment.

“In summary, the party believes that local councils should work for the common good of society and not work solely for one section of the community or
another.

“With the radical restructuring at these council elections, we think that they present a great opportunity for Northern Ireland to ensure local politics is changed for the better.”
