Green theme for young people at Silverstream

The Carrickfergus launch of a project to enhance the area’s biodiversity has taken place at Silverstream Primary School.

Carrickfergus Borough Council representatives, head teachers of local schools and members of community groups and environmental organisations were in attendance at the Greenisland location as the Mid and East Antrim Local Biodiversity Action Plan was unveiled.

Pupils joined in the celebration by planting trees and building insect boxes.
