Grenfell talk for WI members
THE President of Portstewart Women’s Institute, Susan Lyons, welcomed everyone to Visitor’s Night where Mrs Valerie Bray, guest speaker.
Valerie gave a very entertaining and interesting talk on the life and works of the late Joyce Grenfell.
Alison Lamont proposed a vote of thanks.
The winners in the Best Limerick competition were: Visitor, Ann Campbell; Portstewart WI, Margaret Morrell.
Members also enjoyed some more light entertainment and after a delicious supper the evening closed with the singing of The Countrywoman’s Song.
