'˜Grit Sand Road' Swann urges Transport NI
Local UUP MLA Robin Swann has appealed to TransportNI to add the Sand Road at Galgorm to its current gritting route 'as a matter of sensible road safety as the winter cold snaps begin to bite'.
Assemblyman Swann said gritting the Sand Road could take place while the current gritting programme is on-going,
He said: “the Sand Road is being used by drivers while the much-needed work on the Woodtown Road is ongoing and that’s why I believe the Sand Road needs to be gritted especially in this weather,”
“TransportNI is already aware of the concerns raised by residents around the Sand Road locality and the requests to have it upgraded.” he added.
