Groups boosted by Foundation

Among those who attended the reception were: Victoria Kennedy and Adrian Eakin from Building Ballysally Together, which received £5,000 towards running costs, stock costs and Essential Skills training and Karen Millar and Sean O’Hare of Home Start, Causeway, which received £5,000 towards running costs.

Also attending was Bernie Cosgrove from West Bann Development, which received a grant of £5,000 towards its Administrator’s post and Patricia Morris from Big Telly Theatre Company in Portstewart, which received £3,000 towards the Machinations project.

Other Coleraine groups to receive funding included: Coleraine 50+ Forum, which received £1,400 towards the cost of 12 information sessions and Causeway Volunteer Centre, which received £3,000 toward its Co-ordinator’s salary costs.

The Lloyds Bank Foundation for Northern Ireland has distributed £32.5m grant aid to more than 8,000 charities since it formed 30 years ago.

Through its five grant programmes in 2014 the Foundation released funding of £1.48 million, amounting to 549 separate grants for charity and community and voluntary groups from every corner of Northern Ireland.

Sandara Kelso-Robb, Executive Director of the Lloyds Bank Foundation for Northern Ireland said the organisation would continue its vital role in funding 
valuable projects.
