Growing their Mo’s for Cancer charity effort

LaganView Community Gym instructor Carl Kilcullen and gym volunteer Chris Robinson alongside local councillors Luke Poots, Paul Porter and Alan Carlisle have all been growing their ‘mo’ for Movember.

‘Mo Bros’ take action by changing their appearance by growing a moustache for the 30 days of Movember, to spark conversation and raise funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems. ‘Mo Sistas’ commit to supporting the men in their lives while helping to promote men’s health.

Movember draws to a close at the end of the month when these gentlemen will breathe a sigh of relief at eventually being able to shave off their moustache they so faithfully grew and cared for for the past 30 days.

While their mo’s have raised three things over the past month from awareness, eyebrows and funds these men are keen to concentrate on the last one and ask anyone who has not yet donated to log onto http://uk.movember.com/team/1642557 or to call down to LaganView Community Gym in Old Warren to deliver your donation in person to Carl.

“It is imperative that by taking part in LaganView’s Community Gym Movember cause we help to start and fund world class programmes that are saving and improving the lives of men,” said Alderman Paul Porter.

“Together we need to try and help change the face of men’s health and if growing a Mo for 30 days is one way of contributing to this then it makes it all worthwhile.”
