Guildhall hosts bridal show

Visitors to the event were treated to a fun and interactive day, which included two outstanding catwalk shows with bridal wear from the Bridal Showroom, Blacktie Showroom and Bridal Designer Outlet, and bouquets from Bernie’s Blooms and Handmade Events.

Eight of the brides-to-be who visited the event had luck on their side on the day as they won prizes supplied by exhibitors at the event. The prizes included a wedding photography package from Donal Doherty photography and a half price wedding video from Icon Video. The Waterfoot Hotel gave away a meal for two, as did Kee’s Hotel. A free teeth whitening from Quayside Dental, a 50 voucher from Bernie’s Blooms, a hair and make-up trial at Suede and a hamper from Rosemary Wright at Ashburn Image were also won.

When she was randomly picked from the crowd to participate in the show, Anne Gallanagh was treated to a surprise makeover by having her hair done by five star salon Suede and makeup done by Irish makeup artist of the year, Rosemary Wright.

Donal Doherty director of Love Bridal was very pleased with how the event went.

He commented: “The bridal expo was a great day all round. Exhibitors at the event were delighted with the huge number of people who attended and the visitors were spoilt for choice with the range of wedding suppliers on offer. The first time a bridal exhibition has taken place in the Guildhall, it has proved to be the perfect venue for the region’s biggest bridal event. Due to the demand we are planning to return and do it all again in the autumn.”
