‘Gun’ was a toy
PSNI divers were called to Ballycastle on Monday morning to retrieve a ‘possible firearm’ from the harbour.
A member of the public spotted the item on Sunday in around 15ft of water and although police suspected all along it was most likely a toy gun the PSNI Underwater Search Team was brought in to retrieve it for closer inspection.
After the dive a PSNI spokesperson confirmed the item was a toy gun.
