Had paid fixed penalty
A 28-year-old man was fined £60 last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court for a speeding offence.
Patrick Downey, Redbridge Road, Rathfriland, was also given three points and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that on February 15 this year he was detected travelling at 76mph in a 60mph zone.
His solicitor said he was issued with a fixed penalty which he paid but it was returned to him. He had no points on his licence.
