Hairdressing accolade for Julian

Ballymena’s Julian Dalrymple, owner of The Sitting Room, has been named as a finalist in the Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year category of the 2014 British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkpf Professional.

The level of creative expertise shown by Julian has made her a worthy finalist in what are the ‘Oscars’ of the hairdressing industry. The entry consisted of four photographic images that showcased her talent within her chosen hairdressing speciality. Judged anonymously and independently by iconic industry names, Julian will now submit a further four images to create a collection of eight that are again judged to reveal the definitive winners.

Julian said: ‘I am absolutely over the moon. This is such fantastic news. This year I decided to really go for it and working with a great team I think we’ve created my strongest collection yet. To have made finalist knowing how much talent there is in our category is fantastic. I feel so honoured to be in such great company. I can’t wait for the ceremony.”
