Hairdryers, straighteners, iPads and iPhones stolen during burglary spree in Magherafelt

Detectives are appealing for information following two burglaries and an attempted burglary in the Magherafelt area.

These incidents occurred between the evening of Thursday, 6 November and the morning of Friday, 7 November.

The first incident was an attempted burglary at the main entrance to the shopping centre on the Moneymore Road . A window in a side door was broken and an attempt was made to enter the premises. This occurred just before midnight .

The second incident occurred at business premises in the King Street area. The premises were entered and a large number of professional hair care products, mainly ‘KEUNE’ brand and electrical items were stolen, including WAHL hairdryer, straighteners, clippers, tongs and a scissor belt. This was reported to Police shortly before 9.00am.

The third incident occurred at business premises in the Queen Street area. The premises were entered and a large number of iPhones, iPads, and iMacs were stolen. It is believed that this burglary occurred between midnight and 1am on Nov 7.

Sergeant Sam Young said: “We believe that these three incidents are linked and we would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in these areas, particularly if they saw two males and a female to contact Detectives at Magherafelt on the non-emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
