Happy ending for Valerie and her phone!

Here’s a story with a happy ending to restore our faith in the honesty of humankind in 2014.

In last week’s Ballymoney and Moyle Times, we issued an appeal on behalf of Bendooragh woman Valerie Walker who lost her mobile phone in the Main Street/Tesco area of Ballymoney on December 23rd.

Valerie’s phone was valuable to her, not just as a means of communication, but also because it contained treasured photos of her grandchildren - one of which was only born a few weeks ago.

Well, an honest member of the public found the phone and handed it into Coleraine police station.

So, Valerie was re-united with her phone and her precious pictures.
