The move came because the defendant decided to change his legal team.

William John Gibson (75), Glassdrumman Road, Annalong, is charged with pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment on a man on March 18 and April 4 this year.

He is also charged with criminal damage to business premises belonging to the alleged harassment victim on the same date. The case was in the list as a contest last Thursday. But a barrister said that he and his instructing solicitor wanted to come off record as the defendant wished to change his legal team.

In the dock Gibson confirmed that this was the case.

The matter was adjourned for two weeks to November 19 to fix a new date for a contest and to give Gibson to instruct new legal representatives.
