Harvest event praised
Shankill Parish held a very successful harvest weekend fun day.
DUP Councillor Carla Lockhart has praised event organisers and said, “The church and grounds were alive with children, young people and parents enjoying the treasure hunt, face painting, bouncy castles and the refreshments.
“I was encouraged to see the church being used in this way given its prominent location within the town centre. It was amazing to see people from all sides of the community attending and I commend the organisers and the volunteers who made it such a success. “
the church is planning more community led events and I certainly will be continuing to support their efforts.”
