Have a heart and help raise money for Callan’s life saving operation

Fourteen week old Callan is being fostered by Catherine Southwell and he is due to have his life-saving operation at Cromlyn House Veterinary Clinic in Hillsborough.

However the operation will cost £3,500 and dog lovers in Northern Ireland have been busy raising money to make sure Callan gets a new lease of life.

The little pup suffers from pulmonary stenosis, in which one of the valves in his heart is too narrow, and he is in desperate need of the operation.

There will be a fundraising weekend at Pets at Home at Sprucefield this weekend (Saturday March 7 and Sunday March 8) when well-wishers can not only donate to fund the operation but also have the chance to meet the adorable spaniel when he visits the local pet store each day from 2pm.

A fundraising walk has also been organised in Lurgan Park for Saturday March 21 at 2pm. The walk costs £5 for adults and £2 for dogs. Each dog will receive a doggy bag and adults will be treated to tea/coffee and a cupcake, with juice and crisps for the kids.

Every penny raised from each of the events will go to the Callan Fund and will raise awareness of the charity Cavaliers in Need, who rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Cavalier King Charles
