If you know what karaoke means in Japanese or what the second most spoken language in the world then it’s time you formed a pub quiz team because the McCoy’s NI Pub Quiz is back!

The hunt is on for Northern Ireland’s brainiest pub quiz team of 2010 and following two successful and nail-biting years McCoy’s are once again scouring the entire country for a team of brains who are whizzes at pub quizzes.

The pressure is really on this year as the challenge has been set to overthrow current champions The Hoffs who have walked away with the title two years in a row.

A crisp 1,000 is up for grabs for the team that can stop ‘The Hoff’s’ from claiming the hat trick and McCoy’s will donate a further 1,000 to the team’s chosen charity.

A heat will take place at the Anchor Bar in Portstewart next Wednesday, August 18 at 9.30pm.

To enter the McCoy’s Pub Quiz, teams should simply turn up to the heat.

Teams must have no more than six members and must be available to participate in the final.

Demand at the heats is expected to be high so arrive early on the night to avoid disappointment.

The grand final will be held on September 15 at Jude’s Bar in Belfast.
