Police and the family of missing person, 46-year-old Elizabeth Greer, are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Latest report is that Elizabeth (Lizzie) was last seen in the area of Sainsburys, Larne Link Road, Ballymena at 5.00pm, Wednesday, January 22.

Elizabeth is described as being 5’8” tall, medium build, with brown shoulder length hair cut into a bob, wearing a maroon coloured cardigan to below her waist with yellow bands and a yellow motiff on the back, dark jeans and black shoes.

Ballymena Times web followers shared our breaking story using social media as the search continued on Friday.

Teams have been scouring areas of the Braid River from Sainsburys to Harryville Bridge and beyond.

Police are appealing to Elizabeth or anyone who knows of her whereabouts to contact them at Ballymena on 0845 600 8000.
