Have YOUR say on Good Relations in Moyle District

Work is currently underway on the development of the next Good Relations Strategy for the new Causeway Coast and Glens Council area.

This includes the current Council areas of Moyle, Ballymoney, Coleraine and Limavady. In order to obtain the views of local people on the issues that might be addressed in the new Good Relations Joint Strategy, each of the four Councils are holding public meetings in their local areas in order to obtain the views of local residents.

Joanne Kinnear, Management Consultant with BJM Chartered Accountants, has been appointed to undertake a series of consultations to inform the new strategy throughout the four Council areas and those being held in the Moyle Council area will take place on Friday, November 22nd in thee different locations:

• 9.30 am - 11.00 am in the Old School House, Mill Street, Cushendall

• 12 noon – 1.30 pm in the Board Room, Moyle District Council, Sheskburn, Ballycastle

• 2.30 pm – 4.00 pm in the Common Room, Mill Rest Hostel, Main Street, Bushmills

The new Good Relations Strategy and Action Plans will reflect the key themes of the new OFMDFM strategy, ‘Together Building a United Community’, which aims to deliver Good Relations outcomes under the themes of: Our children and young people; Our shared community; Our safe community; Our cultural expression.

It is important that Council obtain the views of local people in the Moyle area so, to have your views on Good Relations taken into account, you will be welcome to attend whichever of would welcome you to attend whichever of the above meetings is mostconvenient to you.
