Have your say on the future of health care

HEALTH Minister Edwin Poots has urged the public to have their say on a proposed massive shake-up of care in the area.

The minister has made the call ahead of a public meeting to be held in the Linen Suite at Mossley Mill on Thursday, December 6 at 2.30pm.

Hundreds of thousands of leaflets have been distributed across the province to housholds about the consulation which will see the biggest shake-up in the delivery of health and social care.

The DUP representative said: “This consultation exercise seeks your views - as patients, clients, services users, carers, service providers and citizens - about how we respond to the proposals set out in Transforming Your Care.

“We aim to ensure that everyone is informed and has the opportunity to make their views known.”

He added: “I would therefore encourage you to speak up and be part of the delivery of change.

“This is a unique chance to reshape our Health and Social Care system to improve on the quality of care and the outcomes for users. I want everyone to help contribute to that change.”
