‘Hazelbank water feature will be completed by end of year’

Work on the feature has stopped while the council considers options on how to supply the feature with power.

In a statement the council said: “Newtownabbey Borough Council is currently considering a number of different options to supply the water feature at Hazelbank Park with electricity in order for it to function.

“Whilst the funds are in place to complete the project, considerations are being given to numerous options to ensure the best value possible and the safety of the feature.

“The feature is due to be completed before the end of the year.”
