Everyone will be made most welcome.

Tomorrow evening, Maundy Thursday, at 7.30pm the service of Solemn Eucharist of The Last Supper will focus on the Institution of the Holy Communion by Jesus in the Upper Room the night before he died.

Good Friday will feature a very moving dimension to the devotions. Following the service, ‘An Hour At the Cross’, between 2pm and 3pm in the Cathedral, the Cathedral clergy and some parishioners visit the graves of Bishop William Alexander and his wife, Cecil Frances, in the City Cemetery where a short act of worship will be held and some flowers are placed on the graves. The service will conclude with the singing of Cecil Frances Alexander’s best known hymn, ‘There is a green hill far away’. This service is open to all who would like to attend.
