Heaney and Hewitt mural unveiling in Ballymoney
A new mural celebrating two of the province's most noted poets will be officially unveiled next week in Ballymoney, Main Street.
Poetic Champions is a fine art project looking at John Hewitt and Seamus Heaney.
Pupils from a diversity of backgrounds had the opportunity to develop cultural discovery through creativity. They looked at the same things in different ways and shared the results through the medium of art.
Together with local artist Ross Wilson pupils from four local schools have produced a range of dynamic portraits, which are being displayed as a two dimensional mural.
Young artists from the participating schools of Lady of Lourdes School, Balnamore Primary School, Cloughmills Primary School and Landhead Primary School will see their work made public on Thursday, April 6.
