Heart and circulatory disease is Northern Ireland’s single biggest killer. With over 225,000 people currently living with heart disease in Northern Ireland, including over 2,500 local people from the Coleraine area, the money raised by local Fundraising Groups helps the charity to give hope and support to those people and their families.

Gary Wilson, BHF Northern Ireland’s Fundraising and Volunteer Manager, said: “I would like to give a big thank you to the Coleraine Heart Town Fundraising Group and to the local people of Coleraine for all their hard work and continued support in raising a fantastic £11,800 in the past year to help fight against heart disease.

The money raised helps fund the ongoing training of 122 BHF Northern Ireland healthcare professionals.
