Heartless thief targets pensioner in Glengormley
Police are appealing for information following a robbery that occurred in the Elmfield Drive area yesterday (Thursday).
Just after 9.50am, police received a report that a woman, aged in her 80s, had her bag snatched by a teenage male. It is then believed that the male made off in a white car. The woman was not injured in this incident.
Sergeant Chris Tate said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact Newtownabbey Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 354 of 08/09/16. If someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
