Hedges official opening

The Hedges restaurant which underwent extensive refurbishing to almost double its size had its official opening last Friday night with a ringing endorsement for the premises and, in particular, for the food served up by head chef, Graham Henry.

Close to two hundred people were there to admire the quality of the new-look restaurant which will soon be boosted by the opening of a 16-bedroom hotel next year.

The owner of The Hedges, van McCook, has invested a considerable amount of money into the project and has put the emphasis squarely on quality.

He is delighted with the finished product and says he plans to speed up the development of the hotel to bring it into operation before the Spring of next year.

Husband and wife team, Craig and Allison Nesbitt, said: “The Hedges proved popular when it first opened and all indications are that the public both locally and farther afield are giving their support now.

“We have some exciting plans for the premises which will be revealed soon.”
