Help make PIPS ‘charity of the year’

PIPS Larne - the charity that seeks to raise awareness of suicide and self-harm - is urging the public to help it qualify for a windfall next year.

PIPS is one of eight good causes that are in with a chance of being named the official charity for personalbestni.com next year.

The fitness firm is asking visitors to its Facebook page to nominate the shortlisted charity which they think should benefit from 12 months of fundraising. Votes must be cast by this Saturday (December 1).

Peter McAllister, from PIPS, said: “Our aim is to save lives by helping those in despair and at risk of suicide, also to help those who have lost a loved one through suicide.

“Suicide is becoming more and more prevalent and we need all the support we can get to combat this. Please take the time and vote now.”
