Help plant a 'Hope' field in Drumadoon

DRUMADOON Guest Inn and Restaurant has issued an appeal to Ballymena folk to support Marie Curie Cancer Care and help plant a Field of Hope.

So, you are invited to join them at their Frosses Road base on Saturday, October 30, from 10am to 2pm to help plant a Field of Hope in aid of the charity.

Along with pupils from the local Primary Schools, members of the public are asked to come and make a donation to plant a daffodil bulb and help raise awareness and much needed funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Anne McRoberts, Area Fundraising Manger for Marie Curie Cancer Care said: “Every year, Marie Curie Cancer Care Fields of Hope burst into bloom at locations across Northern Ireland, reflecting the optimism of spring, and, as the daffodil bulbs are often planted in memory of a loved one, serve as a tangible and touching reminder.

“The feeling of hope that the daffodil (symbol of Marie Curie Cancer Care) brings, makes it the perfect emblem to represent the improved quality of life offered to people by Marie Curie nurses and in hospices,” she added.
