Heroin seized by police outside Tobermore

The arrests were made after police stopped a car on the Desertmartin Road on Monday at 4.45pm.

The men, aged 28 and 33, remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

SDLP Mid-Ulster MLA Patsy McGlone congratulated the PSNI.

“The PSNI must be commended for the investigation and work that went into this seizure as it will help keep illegal drugs off the streets.

“I would appeal for anyone with any information about this seizure or any other illegal drug activity to contact and cooperate with the PSNI,” said Mr McGlone.
