‘Hidden gems’
MOYLE District Council in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (N.I.T.B) recently hosted a familiarisation trip to bring together tourism businesses in the region to showcase ‘The Hidden Gems in the Glens’.
There were 33 participants on the trip with representatives from local tourism businesses, the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust, the National Trust and also staff from the Tourist Information Centre network from throughout Northern Ireland.
The ‘fam trip’ enabled them to experience at first hand a range of activities, accommodation and attractions available in ‘The Glens’.
The participants thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it also proved to be a great networking opportunity for many of our local tourism businesses.
