Hijacked van
DETECTIVES in Strand Road are investigating the hijacking of a van from the car park of a bar on the Buncrana Road on Friday night.
Just before 7.45pm the driver of the van was approached by two men who ordered him out of the vehicle before punching him a number of times as he lay on the ground. The men then drove off in the van which was found burnt out a short time later in the Creggan area.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of a maroon coloured, southern registered, people carrier which was also in the car park at the time of the incident.
