Hillsborough floral display winner

Hillsborough village recently held a floral display competition.

Prizes for the best displays in the centre of the village were presented to the winners of the best commercial display category and best residential display winner by sponsor and judge Elaine Cunningham of Hardy Hill Garden Centre.

Joint first commercial winners were The Hillside Bar and Walkers Butchers. Runner up was The Laundry Room.

First place in the residential category was Old Barrack House, Main Street and second place went to Old Curateage, The Square.

Highly Commended: Mr and Mrs Briggs of Lisburn Street and Pattersons Chemist, Ballynahinch Street.

The organisers would like to thank Vanda Walker for helping create the lovely rosettes awarded to the prize winners along with a voucher to be spent at Hardy Hill Garden Centre.

A Christmas shop window competition will hopefully take place and details will be available locally.
