Hillsborough WI meetings

Members of Hillsborough WI got together twice in May and on each occasion they were treated to a wealth of advice on summer container
planting.

On May 17 they we went by coach to Newtownards for shopping and then to Greyabbey. After browsing the antique shops there they went on to Harrisons’ garden centre where we had a beautiful meal served by very friendly, attentive staff.

Following the meal David Harrison gave them some professional tips on how to plant a hanging basket. At the normal May meeting Christine Wilson from Cameron’s Nursery planted two containers, one of which she donated to the club. The competition for an arrangement in a teacup was won by Iris Crothers.
