History lessons for Ballievey WI
The members of Ballievey Women’s Institute braved a wet evening for the opening meeting of the new year.
The evening began with president Anne Martin warmly welcoming all the members of the group.
Ken McIlroy was the speaker and the members enjoyed his talk about local history which covered all sorts of things from famous ladies to highway men and ‘bits and bobs’.
In the competition Lou McKnight came in first place and Anne Bell came in second place.
The ballot winner was Vera Derkin.
The evening ended with the singing of the Country Womans Song.
