Ben Cross (20) of Corbally Road, appeared on April 28 at Banbridge Court, charged with dangerous driving at Corbet Lough, Aughnacloy Road, on March 13 and also that he failed to stop, failed to remain at the scene, failed to report an accident and failed to give to police the name and address of any passenger in the car.

A police officer said he could connect the defendant with the charges, which relate to an incident in which Katesbridge toddler, Thomas Smylie, then 16 months old, was knocked down on a family day out.
