There have been the traditional switching on of lights, Santa is making his pre-Christmas tour checking to see who has been naughty or nice and there have been parties aplenty.

Nativity plays and Christmas Open Nights are being staged all over the North West, and we hope our slideshow attached gives Sentinel readers a little pre-Christmas cheer... who knows, if the weather continues to be bad, Rudolph and his friends may get to pull the sleigh this year if we have a white Christmas.
