Hoey goal proves winner

Glenavon’s Andrew Hoey scored the decisive goal in Wednesday’s final group test in the favour of the County Armagh Premier players.

The 1-0 defeat of Australia’s Gold Coast Academy left County Armagh on two wins from three group appearances, following victory over

Bohemians and a defeat against Manchester United.

Co Armagh face Espanyol today (Thursday) in the semi-final of the Vase at The Warren, Portstewart, kick-off 3.30pm.

The Co Armagh Junior team face Co Fermanagh in the semi-final of the Medallion, also at The Warre, with a noon start.
