Holiday Bible Club at Ballykeel

Many local children are already attending the series of evening meetings, which conclude with a Community BBQ on Saturday, June 13, at 3pm.

The theme for the Club this year is "In the Garden", which will encourage children to think about God's hand in creation, sin, salvation and the new creation. As usual the teaching will include song, quiz, games and refreshment.

Minister Rev Martin McNeely comments: “We've always had a great crowd and willing helpers over the last few years. This year is no exception, with many new volunteers coming along to help. Our ministry apprentice Dave Moore has been working really hard with artwork and decoration so Bible verses are illustrated for the talks. At the end of the week we all really look forward to the BBQ, which brings church and community together."

Following the Bible Club service which is at 11am on Sunday, Ballykeel Church conclude a busy year of youth and children's ministry with the annual Church Loyalty prize giving morning on Sunday, June 20, at the normal time of 10am.

Rev McNeely continues: "It has been very heartening to see numbers slowly go up over the year. We are not a big church, but we find that with smaller fellowship, people grow closer and encourage one another. As local people have been attending they have brought children or grandchildren along in increasing numbers, for which we thank God."
