Holiday Bible Club in Donemana

Donemana Presbyterian Church recently held a Bible Club for primary school children. The club focused on the story of Daniel and his three friends. We had on average thirty-five children each night. At the beginning of the club each evening there was a warm-up activity. By far the most popular activities were the parachute games.

Each evening there was a Bible story followed by a themed quiz. The stories focused on Daniel and his friends. The children learned about the various events in Daniel’s life and how this relates to our lives today.

The theme choruses were ‘Be bold, be strong for the Lord your God is with you’ and ‘Our God is a great big God’. The Bible memory verse was taken from Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 and 6.

There was time devoted to crafts each evening, during which the older and younger groups had fun learning about God’s Word through craft. Each evening concluded with juice and biscuits.

At the Sunday Service following Bible Club week, time was devoted at the beginning of the service to give the congregation a flavour of what had taken place at the bible club. The entire bible club week culminating in the Sunday Service was a time of spiritual blessing for children and leaders alike.
