Holiday bin collection dates announced by Borough Council

DUE to the Christmas and New Year holidays, black bin collections will not take place on Christmas night but will be collected on Saturday, December 28 instead.

Blue bins which are due for collection on Wednesday, January 1 have been rearranged for Saturday, January 4.

Coleraine Borough Council’s civic amenity sites will be closed on Christmas Day, but will continue to operate on winter opening hours on other dates, which is from 8.30am until 3.45pm Monday to Saturday.

Recycling is an essential part of Council’s refuse collection and everyone is encouraged to ensure that the correct items are put in the appropriate colour coded bins.

Council also requests that residents consider which items can be taken to the local recycling centres over the festive season.

Amenity sites in the Coleraine Borough Council area are located in the following areas: Portrush, Causeway Street; Portstewart, Roselick Road; Coleraine, Loughanhill Industrial Estate; Garvagh, Limavady Road; Kilrea, Lisnagrot Road; and Castlerock, Freehall Road.
