Holiday events planned at Castle

Easter weekend (26-29 March) at Hillsborough Castle promises to be adventure packed with a variety of fun family activities for all ages.

Ever fancied building your own castle?

Budding builders will work together, and with their parents, to create a colourful cardboard castle fit for royalty!

It’s perfect for the under 5’s but suitable for all ages.

Meanwhile kids can get creative building their own miniature boat – but will it be ship-shape enough? Twice daily races on Saturday and Sunday in the castle garden’s stream will soon test how water-worthy it is!

On Easter Monday and Tuesday (28 - 29 March), Lady Alice and friends will enthral youngsters with stories, comedy and music. Twice daily kids will be invited to the castle’s Throne Room for comedy and sing-a-long (open to all ages, but best for 8+).

Or take a seat in the more intimate State Drawing Room for interactive storytelling (best for 3-6 years).

Throughout the holidays there’ll be a chance to play garden games and explore the beautiful grounds using Lady Alice’s trail, our specially created leaflet for families.
