Hollywood actor visits Salto Gym

THERE was a special visitor to Salto recently when actor Ciarán Hinds, who starred in the 2012 Academy Award winning short film ‘The Shore’ visited the city’s National Gymnastics Centre.

Ciarán was in Lisburn for a Parent and Toddlers session at Salto, along with his mother and sister.

Tony Byrne CEO of Salto NGC chatted to Ciarán at length, who spoke of how the city has an “absolutely fantastic facility.”

He was also impressed that Salto have secured the Chinese Artistic Gymnastics Team for their 2012 Olympic Pre-Training Camp in July.

Ciarán’s mother Moya spoke of the Parent and Toddlers session and said the children looked so ‘happy and safe’.

Ciarán is famous for acting most recently in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the new upcoming Ghost Rider film Spirit of Vengeance with Nicholas Cage and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, as well as The Shore, which was based in Co.Down.

The Salto staff were incredibly honoured to meet such a prestigious Actor.

Hollywood
